The More You Know

Hey! My name is Micah. My heart burns for the unreached, that every nation, tribe and tongue would worship the Lamb that was slain! My desire is to reach the most unreached peoples in the hardest and darkest places in the world, with the love and gospel of Christ. During my time with YWAM Lancaster, I will be serving in training, helping disciple and send out lovers of Jesus. Looking ahead, I plan to move long-term to Cambodia to reached the unreached in 2025. My heart’s desire is to be a faithful lover and obedient servant to the one who gave it all for me. Thank you for your prayers and support!

What is your favorite book of the Bible and why does it hold particular significance to you?

What translation of the Bible do you prefer to use in your missionary work, and how does it help you connect with the people you serve?

What is the most exciting place you have been while serving as a missionary, and what made it so memorable for you?

What inspired you to pursue missionary work? Was there a specific moment or experience that led you down this path?

When did you complete your DTS (Discipleship Training School), and how did that experience shape your perspective on missionary work?

Can you share a story or experience from your time in the field that has particularly impacted you or changed your perspective on your work?

Such a hard decision! Romans probably, just because it seems to sum up the whole bible in one book and is just so powerful.

What translation of the Bible do you prefer to use in your missionary work, and how does it help you connect with the people you serve?

ESV. I think it’s easy to understand but still proven accurate.

What is the most exciting place you have been while serving as a missionary, and what made it so memorable for you?

Papua New Guinea. Just seeing the wildness of how uncivilized some of the places we went were like they don’t have very much Western influence, so seeing them react to us being there was crazy!

What inspired you to pursue missionary work? Was there a specific moment or experience that led you down this path?

When I was growing up I’d read about Hudson Taylor and Jim Elliot and think I’m going to do that when I’m older. And here I am! The lord has encountered me and given me a heart for it.

When did you complete your DTS (Discipleship Training School), and how did that experience shape your perspective on missionary work?

Spring of 2023. It really just gave me an avenue to express the dream of God that is on my heart to see every nation, tongue, and tribe know him.

What YWAM bases have you visited throughout your missionary adventure, and how have these experiences impacted your work?

YWAM DC, YWAM Pittsburg, YWAM Madang, YWAM Manila, and YWAM Battambang. Just seeing the hunger for the Lord and the burning zeal all across the nations for Jesus to be lifted high is super cool. I find it so cool how different bases do different things.There was this time before I went to Cambodia I had prayed and asked the Lord, Lord would you give me Devine appointments in Cambodia. So one day he gave me a vision of a woman on a bed not walking and I prayed for her and she got up and walked. So then a month later, I was in a remote village in Cambodia, and was walking along and saw this lame woman on a bed. I ran up to her and prayed for her! 9 times I prayed for her and every time it got a little better and a little better! Finally the 9th time she was fully healed!! Two weeks later we went back and she was still doing amazing!!! Praise God!!!!

Can you share a story or experience from your time in the field that has particularly impacted you or changed your perspective on your work?
