The More You Know

Hey! My name is Desaray Nolt, and I was born and raised in Lebanon County. My life was completely changed when I encountered the Lord’s heart, not only for me but also for the lost. My heart’s cry is that women and children, near and far, would find their value and identity in Christ. To see this region, this generation, and the nations walk boldly in their calling—leading to the name of Jesus being made great and the Great Commission fulfilled. Everything is fueled from a place of first love, full surrender, radical obedience, and knowing the Father.

I attended DTS and the Catalyst Internship with YWAM Lancaster, where I came face to face with Jesus and the reality of the brokenness of the nations. How could we not go? I’m so excited to partner with the Lord and YWAM Lancaster to see lives and nations transformed. Thank you for your prayers and support!

1 John- This is one of the first books of the bible that I ever read in full. I remember just being so captivated by the fact that “God is Love.” It is often a book that I come back to over and over again, and it constantly reminds the joy it is to know Him and love Him.

The most exciting place I have been is Albania. I had the opportunity to work with the Roma people group, but mainly the kids. We would walk the streets, and the kids would come running up and give us the biggest hug. We had few translators for a lot of kids, so verbally communicating was hard, but we both knew how to love. Love was the common language; what a joy it was to love without words, knowing both sides were impacted.

I was in 7th grade when a missionary from the Middle East came to speak at youth group. I was so captivated by the idea of this missionary giving up everything for Jesus. A seed was planted in that moment that would lead me to do a DTS.

I completed my DTS in the fall of 2024; this experience shaped my perspective on missions by just opening up my eyes. I walked in a lot of passivity without even knowing it; through DTS I grew a fire to walk in active obedience.

While serving in Costa Rica, we were doing some street evangelism. This lady was sitting on the side of the street, and she had a long newborn baby. I felt the Lord so clearly tell me to go and share a picture I had of her running to him as a little girl. I sat down and started to share what the Lord gave, and as I was talking, I was overcome with the Lord’s heart for her. I shared some more, and a smile came on her face as I could tell she was filled with joy and peace. This impacted me because that day the Lord used me to share His heart for his daughter; He loves to use us.
