Samuel and Laura Snow

The More You Know

Hello! Our names are Samuel, Laura, Avah, and Abigail and we are the Snow family. Samuel was born on the mission field in Haiti with YWAM and lived and served there for 23 years. Laura left for the mission field at 18 years old and served with YWAM in Europe, USA, and Australia for 12 years. After stepping off the mission field, getting married, and starting a family, God has called us back to provide training, discipleship, and supportive care to the missionaries being sent from YWAM Lancaster. Our hearts are to see missionaries thriving on the field and lasting for the long-haul, fully equipped to bring transformation to their communities and the people groups the Lord has called them to. We are filled with faith for the kingdom impact that is and will continue to take place through YWAM Lancaster and we thank you for your prayers and partnership in this vision.

We are called to equip, disciple, and provide supportive care for ministry leaders, missionaries, and their families – through shepherding, discipleship, teaching, ministry development, hospitable care, and voicing awareness.

Samuel’s favorite book is ironically the books of 1 and 2 Samuel. He particularly is inspired by the heart and faith of David and his leadership.

Laura’s favorite book is Isaiah, particularly Isaiah 41:9-10 which the Lord has used as a guiding point for her.

We use the ESV translation as it is a more direct translation from the Hebrew and Greek which we feel brings an accuracy to the original meaning of the word.

We both felt the call at young ages to the mission field, Samuel being surrounded by missions from a young age fell in love with the work through ministry engagement in Haiti while Laura was inspired by her retired missionary Sunday school teachers and youth group missions trips.

Laura did her DTS in 2007 at Homestead Manor in England while Samuel did his at YWAM Lakeside Montana in 2014. This school solidified the call to missions on our lives and shaped our character to sustain the call that the Lord had for us.

There was a DTS outreach that Samuel was leading in Haiti and we went to a village that was way out in the brush where voodoo had a very strong influence. We had gotten to the village and immediately felt a significant amount of spiritual warfare and oppression. The team wasn’t sleeping well and felt a significant amount of fatigue. We decided then to start doing prayer walks through the village every day to break the strongholds in the spirit and we began to feel better and see amazing ministry impact. After being in this village for a few days the Haitians on the team began to hear the people of the village talking amongst themselves saying that all their voodoo and magic was not working anymore since we arrived in the village.

This impacted me greatly and showed me the power of God and the power of prayer. We carry an authority and a God of victory over darkness and when we enter a dark place the enemy cant prevail.
