The More You Know

Hi, I’m Brennan Hurst! I was born and raised in Lancaster county Pennsylvania. My mission is to equip young people to burn in prayer; for the nations and the region through intentional discipleship, vulnerability, walking in humility and cementing a biblical foundation in their lives. When YWAM Lancaster was first beginning, I would come to every community night I could make it to. These events were so formative for me as a 15-16 year old. It was through these events that I began to make Jesus the Lord of my life and found true freedom in the blood. I would not be the man of character I am today if it wasn’t for YWAM Lancaster. I’m so excited that I get to be a part of the place that had so much impact on me as a youth.

My vision is to see regions revived, hearts transformed, and people empowered to live radically for Jesus.

Deuteronomy. It is literally the Gospel to those under the law and it just hits every time! So much revelation of God’s faithfulness in this book.

ESV, I’ve been reading the same bible since I was 14 so there is a lot of history with this specific book. Since there’s a lot of history if there is any spot those I’m ministering to wouldn’t understand I can explain it most times.

When I was 14, 15, and 16 I began to make my faith my own. In this process I began to read lots of Christian books that stirred my faith for the nations, I was confident that I was gonna give all of my life for the gospel. Through disappointments in life this zeal dimmed, but during our final week of dts lecture, the nations came alive to me again. I remember being so stirred for the gospel and the reality that many don’t even get the chance to know King Jesus. After this that zeal returned with greater fervor.

Being in the nations brought me to such hunger and desperation for God. Serving people who serve mute idols broke my heart. This brought me to action in the place of prayer for those whom we got to love for a short time.

This past outreach I so saw the Lord use us to pursue his sheep that have gone astray. In to separate occasions we had amazing prayer time before going out and preaching the gospel. As people who have excepted Christ and recently haven’t been coming to church responded to prayer, the Lord began to heal their bodies. Two men got radically healed, but the legs behind these things is the place of prayer.
