The More You Know

Hey! We are the Voelker Family: Michael, Noelle, Judah, and Ellia. Our heart is to raise a generation of worshippers with pure hearts—rooted in love for God and others—walking in humility, freedom, and confident identity. We feel deeply called to disciple others, helping them discover and step into their God-given purpose. We met through YWAM in 2019, after each of us had already been involved with YWAM for a couple of years, and we got married in 2021. It has been a great joy to serve with YWAM Lancaster since 2025, and we are so excited to see what the Lord continues to do here!

Noelle – Philippians. I memorized so much of this book as a teenager, so it has become very sentimental and dear to my heart.

Michael – Anything from John. His revelation of God’s heart shines through in every sentence he writes.

Noelle – On my DTS outreach, we went to Bangkok, Thailand, and served alongside a ministry in the red-light district. It was heartbreaking to walk up and down those streets, seeing all of the women there. Experiencing this firsthand was overwhelming, but the Lord gave me His heart for those women and men, who were both so broken and equally in need of the Father’s love to come in and change their lives.

Michael – I think the most impactful ministry I’ve done would have been in Costa Rica, but my favorite place in terms of sights, culture, and overall experience would have to be Australia, where I did my DTS.

Noelle – Missions was always a part of my life growing up. I was able to go on short-term trips when I was young, which gave me a deep heart for the lost and unreached. The Lord has now led my own family into missions, and it’s such a gift to share our passion for missions with my own kids!

Michael – I remember, at age 15, my heart stirring when I heard about a mission trip my pastor went on to Africa. From the next summer on, I had this deep desire to be involved in ministry. When I was 18, I felt the Lord calling me to attend a ministry school. Long story short, I did a DTS, and I knew I had found the path the Lord was calling me to.

Noelle – I completed my DTS in March 2019. I grew up knowing a lot about missions and going on short-term trips, but during my DTS I was able to truly make this heart for missions my own. It was such a sweet time of growth and discipleship.

Michael – I completed my DTS in December 2017. My DTS opened my eyes to the needs of the world and the many opportunities to serve the Lord.Michael – NET Noelle – ESV
