The More You Know

Hi, my name is Sarah Myers! My life was ruined for the ordinary when I experienced God’s heart for the unreached. I want to see my generation capture God’s heart and be radically in love with Jesus! In my time with YWAM, I have done a DTS and the Catalyst Internship. In these schools, I have learned how I can use my gifts to be a leader that through Jesus, can impact the nations. I believe that YWAM Lancaster will be significant in my journey to reaching the nations. Thank you for your prayers and partnership!

My favorite book of the Bible is Ephesians, it is a book that I could read every day and get something new out of it!

ESV is what I grew up reading so I like to use it for ministry. I have many passages memorized in the ESV translation.

The most exciting place I have been to is definitely Cambodia, I loved connecting with all the children and loving them like Jesus would.

The Lord very clearly called me back into a lifestyle of missions right before I did my DTS with YWAM Lancaster. “Sarah I have more for you” is what I heard the Lord say to me in a moment of encounter. Then when I went to Cambodia and saw that there were actual people who had never heard the name of Jesus before I knew that I would be in missions for the long run.

I completed my DTS in the Fall of 2022, and in this experience I really got a heart for the unreached.

I have been to the following bases: YWAM Kansas City, YWAM Asuncion (Paraguay), YWAM Lancaster, YWAM Battambang (Cambodia), YWAM Pittsburgh, YWAM Cartegena, and YWAM Leticia (Colombia). Seeing how the people at each of these bases are so committed to the Lord is inspiring to me, at some of these bases people are at risk of being disowned from their families just because they follow Jesus.

While in Leticia, Colombia my team and I went to the Amazon River Communities to distribute Bibles. At one home I felt the Lord say to talk about baptism with a man who had just given his life to Jesus. So I handed him his very own Bible in HIS LANGUAGE and told him to read Romans 6:1-14 and by the end, he said that he wanted to be baptized. We baptized him right at his own home and his neighbor who had also just given his life to Jesus got baptized as well! This moment changed how I rely on Holy Spirit to guide me in ministry. At first, it felt weird to talk about baptism in this moment but stepping out in boldness literally changed this man’s life!
